The Caen Campus 1 residence is made up of 107 flats ranging from 18 to 26 m² and is designed to make life easier for students. Numerous services are available: Wi-Fi access, linen hire, a laundrette, cleaning and even fresh food baskets. No more doing the laundry round at your mum and dad's! Make your home in one of the residence's studio flats and you’ll enjoy a well-equipped, practical flat. You’ll love this new life! Each flat is fully equipped with a kitchenette, desk, shelves, fridge, cooking hob, etc. Get ready to unleash the Master Chef within! Fancy relaxing on the sofa? It takes just a couple of seconds to move the table on wheels wherever you want it, job done. A friend coming to stay over? Likewise, in two minutes, the trundle bed can be transformed into a double bed.
Close to the shops, the Caen Campus 1 residence is right next to Campus 1 and an equal distance from the city centre and Campuses 2 and 4. Feel like a nice stroll? You can reach Campuses 2 and 4 in just 20 minutes (5 minutes by public transport). Tired of cooking tonight (or pretty much ever)? It’s no big deal, in 3 minutes flat you’re in the university restaurant. Want to eat in the city? Try out the great little restaurants nearby.
Feeling stressed about your exams? Head for the gym! Slip on your trainers and go for it! Tone those muscles for rock hard biceps and thighs, or try some yoga to open your chakras, the choice is yours! There’s even a trainer on hand to help with your motivation! Addicted to series? A student residence in Caen
The Nemea Appart Etud' Campus 1 residence is literally close to everything. Located on Campus 1 in Caen, the residence is less than half an hour by public transport from Campuses 2, 4 and 5. Walking not your thing? Don't worry! No need to trudge for miles to catch a bus or tram. The nearest bus (lines 23, 5, 6 and 7) and tram (T2) stops are only 400 m away. If you prefer to travel by bike, life couldn’t be simpler! There is a Velolib bike-sharing station 700 metres away.
Within easy reach of schools and universities, the residence is located just 15 minutes walk from the city centre. And for everything else, the bus is your best friend. By living in the residence, you save time. Everything is right next door! A parcel to send to grandma? The post office and bank are less than 10 minutes walk away. And if your fridge is as empty as the desert, don't panic, there’s a supermarket right next door. For the bigger shops, the shopping centre is just a 20-minute bus ride away.

Are you a party animal? Caen won’t disappoint. You’ll find plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants in the Gaillon district, on rue Ecuyère or the marina! This is where you want to be on a Saturday night. Let loose and get out between exams, awesome nightclubs are ready and waiting! The city is also worth a visit during the day. Rest assured you won't be alone: around 35,000 young people study on the various campuses in Caen. Mark two dates in your diary: the Beauregard music festival in early July and the student carnival in the spring. Fluorescent shirts, pink wigs, superhero costumes and more, put on your craziest outfit to enjoy the atmosphere of Europe's biggest student carnival.
