Being a student in Lille: tips for your arrival

Where to find information in Lille?
The Lille tourist office is located next to the Rihour metro stop. The staff there will be able to give you information on cultural events, shops, bars, restaurants, museums and monuments and help you discover your new student city.
How to discover Lille in a few days?
Book your City Pass on the tourist office website to visit Lille and its monuments for free (Musée de LaM in Villeneuve d'Ascq, Palais des Beaux-Arts, Hospices...). You’ll also have free access to public transport to visit the city. City Passes are available for 24, 48 or 72 hours.
The public transport network in Lille

Going out in Lille
If you want to meet the people of Lille and enjoy a good beer, we recommend Rue Massena and Rue Solférino where you’ll find many bars. The Republique district, as well as the old town are renowned for their festive, student nightlife.
